Agnes Gibbs Estremera

MRS AGNES (MARY AGNES GIBBS ESTREMERA) WAS BORN IN THE WEST INDIES IN GRENADA AND IN HER EARLY CHILDHOOD MOVED TO TRINIDAD & TOBAGO, WHERE SHE GREW UP AND MATURED HER CRAFT IN COOKING.

IN THE LATE 60’S AGNES MOVED TO PUERTO RICO FOR A CAREER CHANGE. THEIR SHE MET HER HUSBAND JOSE “CHE” ESTREMERA AND IN THE MID 70’S FOUND HER WAY TO BROOKLYN NEW YORK WITH HER HUSBAND AND 8 KIDS.

KNOWN FOR HER COOKING THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY, SHE STARTED SELLING DINNERS AND BAKING TO MAKE EXTRA MONEY. HER FOOD WAS SO GOOD, THAT HER NAME MRS AGNES WAS RINGING BELLS THROUGHOUT THE BROOKLYN BED STUY COMMUNITY AND IT ALSO ATTRACTED MANY CELEBRITIES TO COME AND TASTE THE FOOD THAT EVERYONE WAS TALKING ABOUT.

MRS. AGNES OPENED HER FIRST RESTAURANT IN 2002 AND CALLED IT AGNES CARIBBEAN KITCHEN WHERE SHE ALSO PROCESSED AND DISTRIBUTED HER AGNES CARIBBEAN SEASONING & MARINADE. 6 YEARS LATER IN 2011 WE RE-OPEN AS AGNES ALL NATURAL GRILL IN DAYTON OHIO, IN HER HONOR AND TO KEEP HER DREAM AND NAME ALIVE!! EVERYTIME WE SEE THE HAPPY FACES ON OUR CUSTOMERS AND HEAR THEM SAY “WE LOVE AGNES”, IT BRINGS SMILES AND JOY TO OUR HEARTS AND REMINDS US OF OUR LOVING AND AMAZING MOTHER AGNES!!
